Designed for Whiston
Bloor Homes has spent considerable time assessing the location of the site and its surroundings to inform the design of the scheme. Central to the scheme’s design are the Garden Village principles which will help to create a development with a strong sense of place, a vibrant community atmosphere and will promote healthy lifestyles.
The plans for Halsnead Garden Village (Phase I) seek to achieve this by proposing a scheme that complements and reflects the character of the local area. Bloor Homes has undertaken extensive analysis of key characteristics in the local area, such as building design and materials, to inform the detailed design of the scheme and to emulate the local vernacular of Whiston.
In preparing the draft plans for Halsnead Garden Village (Phase I), the team has sought to create a place with a rich green setting, retaining the best of the existing landscape assets whilst also creating new ones. Bloor Homes wants to ensure that the scheme represents an organic extension to Whiston and paves the way for the wider proposals by establishing a precedent that will preserve the local character, whilst delivering the new homes that are needed.
But what do you think? What type of properties would you like to see delivered at Halsnead Garden Village? What issues would you like us to consider in preparing our plans? What do you like or dislike about our initial proposals? These are the types of questions we want you to answer, as well as any other feedback that is important to you.
